Paul R. Sleath Ph.D., President and CEO

Paul R. Sleath is a member of Dharma’s Board of Directors and is also Chief Executive Officer and President of Dharma Therapeutics, Inc.  Dr. Sleath joined the Company in 2005.  Dr. Sleath is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Company and plays a key role in driving research and development activities as well as business development.  Dr. Sleath is a key member of management of the Pharmaceutical arm of Transcu Group Ltd.  Before joining the Company, Dr. Sleath was responsible for program management and manufacturing activities at Corixa Corp (subsequently acquired by GSK) for approximately 12 years.  Prior to that, Dr. Sleath was a Senior Scientist at Immunex Corp (now Amgen).  Dr. Sleath holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of York (United Kingdom) and performed post-doctoral studies at the University of California before joining Immunex.

Masaharu Masuyama, Senior Vice President

Masaharu (Mike) Masuyama is a member of Dharma’s Board of Directors and is also Senior Vice President of Dharma Therapeutics, Inc.  Mr. Masuyama joined the Company in 2005.  Prior to joining the company, Mr. Masuyama consulted with various small and medium sized Japanese companies including start-ups to explore business expansion opportunities in the US for the last 15 years.  Additionally, Mr. Masuyama worked for the US subsidiary of a Japanese multi-national trading company, and was stationed in New York before starting his own consulting firm in 1994.  Mr. Masuyama holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan.

Shunsuke Kogure, Director of Accounting & Financial Affairs, and Treasurer & Secretary

Shunsuke (Shaun) Kogure is a member of Dharma's Board of Directors, the Director of Accounting and Financial Affairs, and Secretary and Treasurer of Dharma Therapeutics, Inc.  Mr. Kogure joined the Company in 2005.  Prior to joining the Company, Mr Kogure provided audit and business consulting services at Delloitte & Touche LLP and also served as a corporate banking officer at Tokai Bank Limited.  Mr. Kogure holds a BS degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota and an MBA, with a concentration of accounting & finance, from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  Mr. Kogure is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Linda Hawkins, Vice President, Quality Assurance

Linda Hawkins is the Vice President of Quality Assurance and oversees quality assurance and quality control functions of the company.  Ms. Hawkins joined the Company in 2005.  Ms. Hawkins is a quality assurance professional with experience in establishing and managing quality systems.  Ms. Hawkins has over 20 years experience in managing GMP and ISO quality systems for biologics, medical diagnostic/device and pharmaceutical products.  Prior to joining the company, she held QA management positions at Xcyte Therapies, Inc. and Intracel Corporation.  Ms. Hawkins holds a BA degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and a Biomedical Regulatory Affairs Certificate from the University of Washington.
